Hating on Norv Turner was all fun and games back when the Chargers were 1-3 and looked like they forgot how to play football.
Then they went 4-2 to tie their record at 5-5.
Then they won 6 in a row to get to 11-5.
Do the math: that’s 10-2 in their last 12.
Then yesterday they won a playoff game for the first time in many years, beating Tennessee 17-6.
Now they play at Indianapolis next week, a team they happened to beat back in November, though it was at San Diego, in the rain, two factors that won’t be in play here.
Hmmm. I’m no fan of either Norv Turner, or his brother Ron (offensive coordinator of the Bears). In fact, I think both are coasting on out-sized and unearned reputations. But fair is fair, and it would be pretty hard to keep up the “Norv Turner hiring was a mistake” line of argument.
It’ll be interesting to see what firenorv.net has to say.
