Legendary blogger Gerard Van Der Leun of AmericanDigest.org — although calling it a blog is almost an insult, it’s really a one-man magazine, thankyouverymuch — recently suffered a heart attack and nearly died.
Since his near-death experience, he has written often about it, and the latest is Staying Alive: It Takes 2 Inches of Compression at 100 Beats Per Minute. It features two music videos, a beautiful picture, and a stunning essay about the joy of life.
You should read it.
As I commented on his post, “Beautiful. Add me to the list of those who are very grateful you didn’t leave this life when you fell out of it.”.
